Greetings and warm welcome friend, my name is Sundar Rayhan. I'm a self-taught perfumer, self-published poet, spiritual mystic, and the founder of Amphora Exotica. It brings me great pleasure to finally open my atelier to the world as it is truly a dream come true to offer Nature's redolent treasures in the form of my personal compositions. For each perfume is akin to a symphony of notes, with each ingredient wafting music. Every blend is scrupulously crafted over many iterations until the melody and pitch of aromatic sound is tuned into harmony.

My inspirations stem from many tributaries streaming down the delta of history. From the ancient Egyptians infatuated with blue lily to the Indians of Kannauj who have distilled traditional attars for millennia in copper degh pots. From the many sacred flowers and incenses used in Hindu pujas to the venerated tradition of fumigation nurtured by Islam and Prophet Muhammad's (ﷺ) deep love for fragrance, particularly that of musk.

Ultimately, fragrance is more than a mere blend of aromatic compounds, be it perfume or incense. It is but a glimpse into both one's personal and collective consciousness. An olfactory expression imprinted by the cultural ethos and aesthetic tastes of the perfumer and their environment. Hence why orientals display leathery woods, thick resins and passionate florals to withstand the searing desert heat while those of Japanese Kodo reflect the clean and refined simplicity of Zen.
